EPEC is very pleased to announce that our screens and peripheral equipment were installed by UCI at the Four Mile Creek WQRF expansion project.

The original Four Mile Creek plant was designed to treat 3.0 MGD of wastewater.  To meet the needs of this growing area, the plant was recently upgraded to an average flow of 6 MGD and a peak flow of 12 MGD with the capability to double the flow to 12 MGD average / 24 MGD peak.

Four Mile Creek WQRF is one of four wastewater treatment plants serving the greater Wichita area.  It is a BNR (biological nutrient removal) plant designed to reduce the amount of phosphorus and nitrogen in the effluent being discharged into Four Mile Creek and ultimately the Walnut River.
